In most cases, no — the permit burden falls entirely on us, not you. As an FAA Part 107 certified operator, we obtain all required airspace authorizations (including LAANC clearances) before every flight. If your property falls within restricted airspace (near airports, military bases, or special use areas), we'll handle the waiver process and let you know the timeline.

We fly in clear to partly cloudy skies with winds below 25 mph and visibility above 3 miles. We cannot fly in rain, fog, or high wind conditions. We monitor forecasts closely and will proactively reschedule if conditions are unsuitable — typically with 24-hour notice. There is no cancellation fee for weather-related rescheduling.

We typically recommend 48–72 hours advance booking for standard sessions. For time-sensitive listings or projects with specific weather windows, same-week bookings are often possible — contact us and we'll do our best. Priority scheduling is included with our Premium real estate package.

We serve all of Hampton Roads including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, Poquoson, York County, James City County, and Isle of Wight. Yes. We carry $1,000,000 in liability insurance coverage on every flight. A certificate of insurance can be provided upon request for commercial projects or properties with specific requirements. We also carry hull insurance on all aircraft.

This depends on the package. Our Starter package includes up to 20 edited photos; Professional includes up to 40; Premium is unlimited. All photos are delivered as full-resolution JPEGs optimized for MLS upload. RAW files are available as an add-on.

Yes — and we strongly recommend it for waterfront or luxury properties. Twilight sessions add approximately $75 to any package. The golden light dramatically enhances pool areas, water features, and outdoor living spaces. Sessions are timed to approximately 30 minutes before and after sunset.

Standard delivery is 48 hours from the flight date. Rush 24-hour delivery is available for an additional $50. Same-day delivery is available for $100 extra, subject to scheduling availability. All files are delivered via a shared download link.

We specialize in aerial drone photography. For ground-level interior and exterior photography, we recommend pairing us with your preferred interior photographer. We're happy to coordinate timing so both shoots happen the same day.

Absolutely. We frequently photograph active listings that need better aerial coverage. There's no additional fee for working around an existing listing — just let us know the lockbox details or coordinate with the agent.

Drone inspections are faster, safer, and often more comprehensive than ladder-based inspections. We can reach steep pitches, ridge lines, and areas that are otherwise inaccessible — without putting anyone at risk. Our high-resolution imagery captures granule loss, flashing issues, and structural concerns that are easy to miss on the ground.

Yes. Our timestamped, GPS-tagged imagery is accepted by most major insurance carriers as supporting documentation for claims. We can also provide a metadata-signed PDF photo report if required. For complex claims, we can testify as expert witnesses.

Yes. We offer monthly and weekly monitoring plans for active construction projects with volume discounts. Progress reports include aerial photo sets with GPS references and optional orthomosaic overview images. Contact us to discuss a custom schedule.

Yes, with proper coordination. We conduct a pre-flight site assessment, establish a designated flight zone, and work with your site supervisor to ensure personnel are clear of the operating area during flights. All flights comply with FAA Part 107 regulations for operations over people.

Part 107 is the FAA's commercial drone pilot certification. It requires passing a written aeronautical knowledge exam, a background check, and ongoing biennial review. Uncertified drone flights for commercial purposes are illegal and can result in significant fines. Our certification ensures we operate legally and safely.

Yes, with some restrictions. Coastal airspace in Hampton Roads varies by location. Areas near Naval Station Norfolk, Langley Air Force Base, and Norfolk International Airport require LAANC authorization or FAA waivers — which we obtain in advance. Open coastal areas are typically unrestricted and ideal for drone photography.

We carry $1M liability insurance that covers third-party property damage and bodily injury. In the unlikely event of an incident, we have clear incident response protocols: secure the scene, notify authorities if required, and work with our insurance carrier promptly. Our safety record is spotless — but we're prepared if anything ever changes.

Standard delivery is full-resolution JPEG (approximately 40–48MP depending on aircraft). We also offer RAW files (DNG format) for photographers who prefer to apply their own color grading. Video is delivered as H.264 or H.265 MP4, either 4K or 1080p depending on your package.

All files are delivered via a private, password-protected download link that remains active for 30 days. We use cloud storage with large file support — no upload size limits. For large projects, we can also deliver on USB drive.

Yes. Each package includes one to three complimentary revision rounds depending on tier. Revisions typically include adjustments to brightness, contrast, color temperature, horizon correction, or cropping. Additional revision rounds beyond the included number are $25 each.

You receive a full commercial license to use all delivered imagery for marketing, listings, publications, and social media — indefinitely. We retain the copyright as the creator, which allows us to display work in our portfolio unless you request otherwise. Commercial exclusivity packages are available for clients who need sole ownership rights.
